Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 225 g oats
  • 1 medium egg
  • 75 g low fat spread
  • 1 bananas (mashed)
  • 1 apple (grated)
  • 50 g demerara sugar
  • 60 g sultanas
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  • Step 1   Line a square tin with greaseproof paper. Brush the vegetable oil evenly over the bottom and sides.
  • Step 2   Combine ingredients. Add in the mixture to the tin and press down fairly firmly.
  • Step 3   Cook on 170C in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes (check not too brown after 25 minutes).
  • Step 4   Divide into 9 with a knife in the tin and leave to cool for 10 minutes. Turn out onto a cooling rack and peel off the greaseproof paper before they completely set.
