Ingredients

  • 500 g pork shoulder steaks (cut small)
  • 1 salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 tin pineapple
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 juice pinapple (from tin)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 350 g rice

Method

  • Step 1   Put pork, seasoning, vinegar, brown sugar and soy sauce in a shallow dish, cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2   Heat butter in a pan and fry well drained pork strips gently until browned.
  • Step 3   Add remaining ingredients.
  • Step 4   Cover and simmer 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Step 5   Meanwhile, cook the rice.
